About the Journal

Op. Cit.: A Journal of Anglo-American Studies is the Journal of the Portuguese Association for Anglo-American Studies (APEAA) and is published annually.

Op. Cit. offers a selection of high-quality research articles in Literatures in English, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies, as well as in more recent but well-established areas such as Discourse Studies, Translation Studies, and Performance Studies, from a multidisciplinary point of view. It aims at providing a solid academic forum for debate of various fields and disciplines in an ever-changing scholarly arena.

All submissions are double-blind peer-reviewed.

Twelve volumes of Op. Cit. were print editions, but the Journal became an online publication in 2012, free of charge, in accordance with the policy of Open Access to scholarly production to which APEAA proudly commits itself. The Journal opens a Call for Papers every year and accepts proposals in English and Portuguese from various disciplinary perspectives and research angles, as listed below.
